Press Article | CSN&Y Tribute

Praised by both press and audiences for their crystal-clear harmonies, The LSB Experience have been performing their highly successful show Songs of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (CSN&Y) since 2023. The tribute has been enthusiastically received on stages both in the Netherlands and abroad, earning the band the title of “The Netherlands’ most dedicated Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young theatre concert.”

With renewed interest in the folk-rock music of CSN&Y, there has never been a better time to experience their music live in a full-length concert performed by The LSB Experience.
The show naturally includes major hits such as Our House and Teach Your Children. But the repertoire goes beyond CSN&Y: the band also performs solo songs by the four musicians, as well as songs from their earlier bands, including The Hollies (Graham Nash), Buffalo Springfield (Neil Young & Stephen Stills) and The Byrds (David Crosby). All of this is brought to life with entertaining stories and the audience interaction that has become a trademark of The LSB Experience.

CD en LP
Ahead of their 2023/2024 theatre tour, The LSB Experience released the album Songs of CSN&Y, available both on CD and vinyl. It features classics such as Teach Your Children, Suite Judy Blue Eyes and Love the One You’re With, to name just a few.
Previous albums by The LSB Experience also featured songs such as Helplessly Hoping and Our House (Flashbacks, 2012), as well as Wasted on the Way, Southern Cross and Woodstock (Songs of the Troubadour, 2018).

Specialists in Harmony
What do The LSB Experience and CSN&Y have in common? Their internationally acclaimed vocal harmonies.
CSN&Y are one of the most legendary supergroups of the late 1960s and early 1970s and are widely regarded as one of the defining musical acts of the Woodstock generation.
The idea for the group emerged in 1968 following a concert by The Hollies in Los Angeles. During a gathering at Joni Mitchell’s home, David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash sang Stephen Stills’ song You Don’t Have to Cry and decided to form a group. A turbulent history would follow.

The Beginning: Helplessly Hoping
For The LSB Experience, it all began with Helplessly Hoping. When the band’s three singers and namesakes — Marcel Luntungan, Hans Sligter and Sjoerd van den Broek — first sang together in 2010, it was this song that convinced them to continue as a group. The band’s name is formed from the first letters of their surnames.
They were soon joined by bassist Rob Hendriks and drummer Peter Deiman, with keyboard player Andy Nijmeijer completing the current line-up in 2023.
Six musicians united by their love of timeless music from the seventies — the era in which almost all of them were teenagers.

LSB Abroad
The LSB Experience perform not only in Dutch theatres and music venues. Their Songs of CSN&Y show has now been performed several times in the United States and has also been booked for multiple performances in Germany and Belgium.
Over the years, the band has developed several other projects, featuring a broad repertoire of songs from the American West Coast, as well as music by The Beatles in general and Paul McCartney in particular.
For years, LSB have performed at the largest Beatles festival in the United States, Abbey Road on the River, and the group has also performed several times at The Cavern Club in Liverpool.
In recent years, the band has performed annually on the Rock and Romance and Flower Power cruises in the Caribbean, sharing the stage and bill with artists such as Gino Vannelli, America, The Little River Band, The Beach Boys and Don Felder (The Eagles).
